Anchorage Pioneer Home Foundation
The Anchorage Pioneer Home Foundation (APH Foundation) is a non-profit tax-exempt organization independent of State government. The Foundation raises funds to enhance the quality of life for all the residents living at the home. The Foundation provides the Anchorage Pioneer Home with financial support to meet the special needs and to allow for projects which are not provided for by State funds.
The goal of the APH Foundation is the mental, social and physical betterment of APH residents, and Foundation funds may be used for many purposes supporting that goal.
The Foundation was established in late 1995 and is run by a volunteer Board of Directors, including residents of the Anchorage Pioneer Home and interested citizens from the community at large. The Board also includes representatives of the APH administration. The Board meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Anchorage Pioneer Home.
