Jake’s Place

Jake's Place in Dillingham, Alaska has a 14 bed availability.  Two of the beds are kept open for pregnant women and intravenous drug users. Jake's Place is not specialized to treat only one form of addiction. The range of treatment goes from alcohol use to a spectrum of drug use.  Modalities include the matrix model, CBT, DBT, skill and relationship building and an experiential treatment component that is culturally appropriate for the population that is being served. There is the availability of mental health specialist who coordinates services for those with co-occurring disorders and other mental health issues.  Jakes Place is part of the Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation which is an acute care hospital.  The hospital provides a variety of medical services including alcohol and drug withdrawal.
