Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income pregnant and breastfeeding women, other new mothers up to one year postpartum, infants, children up to age six, and elderly people at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity foods.

To be eligible:

  1. Are you a senior, age 60 or older, and income eligible?

  2. Are you, or do you care for a child age 5-6 years old, and income eligible?

  3. Are you a woman, 6 months – 1 year postpartum, non-breastfeeding and income eligible?

Pregnant, post-partum, and breastfeeding women, Infants and Children age 0-5, who are not on WIC may also apply. A person may not be on both WIC and CSFP at the same time, but members of the same household can be on different programs at the same time.

To apply:

  1. Open and print the Alaska CSFP application. Click here for application.
  2. Complete the application with current information
  3. Locate your closest local distribution agency.
  4. Call the agency for directions on how to submit your application.
