Obesity Prevention Training for School Nurses

An evidence-based school specific obesity prevention training for school nurses and other registered nurses will be offered by the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services School Nursing/School Health Program (SN/SHP) and the Alaska Obesity Prevention and Control Program (OPCP). The training will be held in partnership with the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (KPBSD) and conducted by the National Association of School Nurses (NASN).
This training will accommodate all school nurses from the KPBSD and then, on a first-come/first-serve basis, other school nurses, public health nurses and clinic/hospital nurses. Maximum class size is 60 RNs.

- TIME: 9:00 – 5:00 p.m., lunch included
