Adoption & Guardianship
In Alaska, most children in foster care are reunified with their biological families. However, when reunification is not possible, adoption is a way for a child to achieve permanency with a forever family. This site offers photos and brief introductions to some of the Alaska children who are legally free for adoption and waiting for permanent homes.
In order to be considered for adopting a child listed on this website you must either be a licensed foster parent or have a current approved adoption homestudy. Please submit an inquiry through the website by filling out the form at the bottom of the children's profile pages.
